District Heights is an incorporated city in Prince George’s County, Maryland that resides near Maryland Route 5. It is a little less than ten miles away from central Washington D.C. These names coincided with grants given by King Charles I of Great Britain that belonged to Colonel Ninian Beall, Benjamin Berry, and Alexander Magruder. District Heights would evolve from one of said patents, and be farmed and developed over the years by numerous people who worked to turn it into the small, charming city that it is today.
