Hyattsville is a city in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and also a close urban suburb of Washington D.C, capital of the United States of America. Hyattsville itself is named for its founder, Christopher Clark Hyatt, who purchased his first parcel of land in the area in 1845. Hyatt would go on to open a store and begin a mail delivery service, with the community officially being named Hyattsville in 1859.
